New York’s TalkRadio 77 WABC Radio will broadcast The John Batchelor Show live from the Republic of Azerbaijan this week, beginning Monday, September 23. Host John Batchelor travels Azerbaijan in the busy neighborhood of the South Caucasus to broadcast from the military front lines of the troubled Nagorno-Karakakh region.

For 25 years, Armenia has occupied Azerbaijan’s territory and abused the villagers, despite a ceasefire agreement. The John Batchelor Show aims to interview the farmers, soldiers and leaders who live in hope and fear. Later in Baku, John Batchelor will attend the State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan’s conference “Impact Investing: Opportunities and challenges for institutional investors.”

Chris Riegel, CEO, Scala Inc., said: “We’re proud to continue our sponsorship of The John Batchelor Show’s endeavors to global emerging markets, such as Azerbaijan, that are in the midst of economic transformation with an eye toward advanced technology in consumers’ everyday lives.”

The John Batchelor Show airs on TalkRadio 77 WABC Monday-Friday, 9:00 p.m.-1:00 a.m., and Sunday, 12:00 a.m.-1:00 a.m.

  1. The John Batchelor Show is truly a gem. Insightful views and behind the scenes discussions and analysis. Broadcasting from New York, Japan or Baku Azerbaijan I am like a fly on the wall absorbing information, listening to the inside tales of how the world really works from those in the know.

Also, I ***really enjoy *** the interviews with authors! The one about Leland Stanford and the photographer or Toby Wilkinson, The Nile, A Journey Down River or The Sea and Civilization and, and, and…

Other important individuals with great insights that you introduced me to are Michael Vlahos and Victor Davus Hanson.

Then there are your colleagues like Gordon , Malcolm, Stephen Cohen, editors of the WSJ and MANY more that I look toward to hearing!

And then there Bob Zimnerman from Behind The Black which goes into a whole new world of space exploration and the players involved. Some if which reminds me of what it was like for Columbus linking up with suppliers and builders and others and putting together a plan to discover new lands and then selling the idea ti those who could fund it, fascinating

Often I feel like I am on a journey traveling to far off exotic lands and then brought back into the hustle and bustle of the present. In a nutshell, the John Batchelor show enriches and makes my day!

As a radio show, ones mind is a major participant, the theatre of the analytical mind is fully enguaged. The information being presented in this way sometimes borders on being magnificent always satisfying. John Batchelor, his extraordinary guests, authors and great sponsors give me hope!

The John Batchelor Show is a rarity this world.

    Thank you John Batchelor!

    Have a nice day…
