Leighton Enterprises has signed a purchase agreement to buy the stations from Paradis Broadcasting of Alexandria. The stations, located in Western Central Minnesota, are KXRA-AM, KXRA-FM, and KXRZ-FM.
The company says it will keep the stations operating as usual with local programming and all Paradis employees will keep their jobs. This puts Leighton in seven small Minnesota and Eastern North Dakota markets.
“Expanding to Alexandria is a natural fit for us with our stations in St. Cloud, Fergus Falls, Perham, and Detroit Lakes,” says Bob Leighton, CEO of Leighton Enterprises, Inc.
The purchase price was not announced.
