Bonneville Denver Devotes Airtime To Suicide Prevention

September is suicide prevention month, and in a move of genuine social responsibility the company took a break from normal programming to broadcast a special edition of Mile High Magazine focused on suicide prevention, over the weekend. The special — hosted by Murphy Huston and Melissa Moore — aired on KOSI 101, 104.3 The Fan, and 98.5 KYGO, and discussed suicide among teenagers, the elderly, and veterans.

“This is such a critical issue facing our community and affects so many families in the Denver area,” said Jim Lawson, Program Director of KOSI.

“This will not be just a one-time program, but an ongoing effort by our stations to discuss, educate, and increase awareness of mental health issues and the tragedy of suicide,” said Bob Call, Vice President of Bonneville Denver.
