Another example of radio’s rapid response to disasters…

Hubbard Radio West Palm Beach, FL, (97.9 WRMF, New Country 103.1, X-102.3, Party 96.3, Sunny 107.9, 850 WFTL, Fox Sports 640) will partner with the American Red Cross in a two-day supply drive to help the relief efforts in the Bahamas.

Items needed: First Aid kits, cleaning supplies, canned goods, box fans, flash lights, leather work gloves, hand sanitizer, non-perishable food, water, tarps, tents, diapers, wipes (adult and baby). Cash is most needed and will also be accepted onsite.

These items will be loaded on a moving truck from Good Greek Moving & Storage and shipped to the Bahamas quickly.

“The images coming out of the Bahamas are absolutely heartbreaking,” said Hubbard Radio West Palm Beach SVP/Market Manager Elizabeth Hamma. “The Bahamas are a special place to the people of South Florida, and we feel fortunate to be able to use our seven radio stations that were spared in the storm to help deliver relief quickly.”

The drive will begin Wednesday, September 4 starting at 6 a.m. in the parking lot at the Hubbard Radio studios and will continue until 6 p.m. The drive will resume at 6 a.m. Thursday, September 5 and conclude at 6 p.m. The address is 701 Northpoint Parkway off of 45th Street in West Palm Beach.
