WBAL NewsRadio Earns Multiple Honors

The news staff of Baltimore’s WBAL NewsRadio 1090 and FM 101.5 received the recognition from the Chesapeake Associated Press Broadcasters Association.

WBAL News earned first-place honors in the Outstanding Spot News category for its coverage of the Capital Gazette shootings in Annapolis in June of 2018. WBAL’s news team also was a finalist in the Best Newscast category and in the category of Outstanding News Operation.

The C4 Show, hosted by Clarence Mitchell IV, also earned honors as a finalist in the category of Outstanding Talk Show.

“Our 94-year commitment to provide Maryland with excellence in news coverage continues,” President and General Manager Cary Pahigian said. “We are grateful to the Chesapeake Associated Press Broadcasters Association for their recognition.”
