Big Horn Radio Network in Cody, Wyoming, hosted a concert featuring country artists Clint Black, Craig Campbell, and Carin Mari over the weekend to honor the 100th Anniversary of the Buffalo Bill Stampede. Admission was free with donations collected for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis.

Along with several auction items including an autographed guitar and cowboy hats signed by the three artists, a replica Henry Sharpshooter rifle, and some Cody 100th Anniversary belt buckles, the event raised $45,000 from listeners.

Larry and Susan Patrick, owners of Legend Communications, parent company of Big Horn Radio, then matched all proceeds to make a $90,000 total contribution to St. Jude. Over 7,500 people attended the outdoor concert at the Cody Stampede Arena.

This year’s Stampede began Sunday with the Extreme Bulls followed by four days of rodeo where contestants can win a total purse of nearly $500,000.
