DJ Amen has been named Music Director for Los Angeles Hip Hop station REAL 92.3. He will report to Doc Wynter, Executive Vice President of Hip Hop Programming Strategy for iHeartMedia and Program Director for REAL 92.3.
Amen began working for iHeartMedia in 2006 on the turntables at the legendary 106 KMEL in San Francisco. In 2015, he joined REAL 92.3 as a DJ, mixing daily for the newly launched Hip Hop station and, in 2016, contributed to the launch of REAL 92.3’s top-rated show Young California Radio.
“His knowledge and passion for music made Amen the perfect choice for Music Director at REAL 92.3,” said Wynter. “He has a special ear and talent for discovering the latest musical hits and trends. We’ve seen him work his magic on the airwaves and know that with his expanded role he’ll help take the station to even higher levels.”
