You may recall Steve Jones left ABC Radio back in March to take a position with Skyview. On Monday, ABC News President James Goldston made the announcement that Stacia Philips Deshishku has been promoted to Jones’ former position of VP and General Manager. Deshishku will oversee all audio businesses, including terrestrial radio, podcasts, and digital audio.
Deshishku moves up to the new position from Washington Deputy Bureau Chief. Goldston called Deshishku “a terrific mentor, providing wise and candid counsel to all, including me.” He said she helped successfully transform the Washington bureau and was instrumental in ensuring it maintained its competitive edge and high standards in this non-stop news cycle.
