Next week, the New Jersey Broadcasters Association will hold its 71st Annual Conference & Gala. NJBA CEO Paul Rotella says the theme for 2019 is the Majesty of Broadcast honoring Radio Royalty from across the nation.

And, for the first time, the New Jersey Broadcasters Association has selected a “Broadcaster of the Year.” The inaugural award will be given to Townsquare’s WPG Morning Host Harry Hurley.

Rotella also says he’s looking forward to a vibrant Radio Row at the show, with several live broadcasts from the conference floor, including 970 The Answer’s (Salem) Joe Piscopo of Piscopo in the Morning, WCTC 1450 AM’s Bert Baron (Beasley) of Jersey Central with Bert Baron, (Who will be joined by WCTC PM Host Tommy G), and WPGG’s 95.5 FM (Townsquare) Hurley in the Morning with the NJBA’s Broadcaster of the Year, Harry Hurley.

The NJBA will also be inducting 8 broadcasters into its NJBA Hall of Fame, starting with Caroline Beasley and Tom Taylor, who will also be receiving lifetime achievement awards; iHeart’s Darren Davis, Townsquare’s Bill Wilson, Salem’s Phil Boyce, Emmis’ Jeff Smulyan, Townsquare’s Eddie Davis, and Bruce Williams (posthumously).
