Bill Press Ending Radio Show

The Hill is reporting that veteran liberal radio talk show host Bill Press is ending his daily program at the end of the month, per his announcement on Twitter. (Press is an opinion contributor for The Hill.)

Press’ career has included:
– 50+ years in broadcasting
The Bill Press Show airing since 2005
– California Democratic Party chairman from 1993 to 1996
– Stints at CNN and MSNBC, most notably as a co-host of CNN’s debate program, Crossfire from 1996-2002.

Politico reports that Press will launch a podcast in June with a focus on the 2020 presidential election.

“In case you missed it: We’ve had a great 14-year run of daily shows, but it’s time to transition,” Press, 79, wrote to his more than 32,000 Twitter followers. “The last daily show will be May 31, but don’t worry! My voice will still be front and center as we enter the 2020 election. Big news coming soon!”
