Marketron has hired Jim Howard as its new Chief Executive Officer. Howard replaces Micael Collins who held the position for a little more than a year. Howard was an operating partner for Diversis Capital, the private equity firm which acquired Marketron in 2018.

Also, Jimshade Chaudhari has been chosen as Senior VP, Product. Chaudhari comes to Marketron from Sling TV, where he served as VP, Head of Product & Partnerships.

“Radio is at a pivotal moment in its transition to incorporate digital into the advertising mix,” said Howard. “I believe very firmly that Marketron will play a central role in transforming our industry. Marketron is already the key software partner for 65% of the industry and through our investment in digital innovation, we’re strategically positioned to enable a return to rapid growth and improved profitability for our customers. Adding Jimshade is key to that evolution and strategy and I’m thrilled to welcome him.”

“Having helped drive the transformation of TV over the past few years, I’m thrilled to be joining Marketron to do something similar for the radio industry,” said Chaudhari. “I look forward to working with Jim and the team to help usher in the digital evolution of radio advertising.”
