Generosity In Houston — With A Spanish Accent

Spanish-language broadcasting company LBI Media has announced that its three leading stations in Houston raised a grand total of $436,911 for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. La Raza KTJM 98.5/103.3 FM, El Norte KQQK 107.9, and La Ranchera KEYH 850 AM/101.7 FM raised the impressive haul during a recent two-day radiothon. The generosity of the Hispanic radio listeners in the greater Houston Metro area will again go to support low-income families seeking medical care at the Texas Children’s Hospital.

Since 2015, LBI Media’s radio stations in Houston have raised a total of over $2.1 million through the radiothon.

“We are extremely proud of our partnership with The Children’s Miracle Network and the wonderful work they do on behalf of low-income families in our community, who are in need of financial support for critical medical services,” said Benny Herzog, Manager, National Radio Sales, LBI Media, Houston. “We thank our Hispanic radio listeners for once again stepping up to the plate and collectively raising over $400,000 for this great charity. The Latino community understands the importance of giving back and helping those that are in need. At LBI Media, we are proud to not only have this as one of our core values, but also to lend our broadcasting platform to ensure we continue supporting social causes of this nature.

Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals raises funds and awareness for 170 member hospitals that provide 32 million treatments each year to children across the U.S. and Canada.
