Celebrating The Summer Of ‘69

0

United Stations Radio Networks will be distributing a summertime special in honor of the 50th anniversary of the Summer of 1969 which will be produced and hosted by legendary on-air personality Dick Bartley. The special will air the week of July 1, including the July 4th holiday.

The Summer of 1969 was a special time in both music and pop culture — the Moon landing, the Woodstock Festival, the Manson Family, the “Hair” phenomenon on Broadway and a lot more. Dick Bartley will commemorate that special summer perfectly for Classic Hits/Oldies stations. Music will include many of the biggest songs of that summer including hits from The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Stevie Wonder, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Blood, Sweat and Tears, and Crosby, Stills and Nash, as well as novelty hits like “Sugar Sugar” from The Archies.

Dick Bartley is a beloved broadcaster who is a three-time winner of the Billboard Radio Award and an inductee of the National Radio Hall of Fame in 2000, and has had his weekend program distributed nationally for over 30 years.
