The Premiere Networks-syndicated personality was hosting WJBR/Wilmington’s “Our Town, Our Heroes Celebration,” a local event recognizing listeners for their outstanding work in the Wilmington, Delaware, community.
Delilah shared their stories on stage and helped local on-air personalities Michael Waite and Jessie Micchelli, hosts of Michael Waite & Jessie In The Morning, present them with awards. But the “most listened-to woman in radio” got a surprise when she was presented with her own award honoring her philanthropic efforts with her non-profit foundation, Point Hope, which serves as a voice for forgotten children in the U.S. foster care system and in West Africa.
