Alpha Ohio Operations Manager (Dayton, Canton/Akron) Bo Matthews has been named Rhythm Format Captain. Matthews will continue to oversee his respective stations in addition to his expanded roles. Format Captains are responsible for assisting in the growth of all associated stations in their music format. This includes frequent communication with Program/Content Directors, as well as monitoring the station’s performance.
Alpha Media EVP of Content, Phil Becker, said, “Since joining Alpha Media, Bo has been delivering ratings, building teams, and making his brands better. I am certain he will do the same in this new role and I’m thankful to have him on the team.”
Matthews said, “The first station I ever programmed was a Rhythm station (WBTT/Fort Myers), which was some of the most fun I’ve ever had in my programming career. I am super excited to be working with our Rhythm stations and creating some magic with the many talented people we have.
