The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers has appointed Ed Razzano to the position of Senior Vice President, Administration Services. Razzano has more than 20 years’ experience with music rights. He was formerly VP, Global Synch Operations and Systems for BMG Rights Management. Prior to BMG, he was VP of Business Development for Ricall. He also spent four years with BMG Music Publishing.

“Songwize provides an invaluable service for rights holders and digital music services,” said Razzano. “I’m excited to build on this essential business which ensures that songwriters and publishers can have confidence that their performances are processed and paid with the same trusted standards and systems that ASCAP uses to pay its members.”

“Ed’s deep background in music rights management will be a major asset for Songwize,” said ASCAP Chief Strategy & Digital Officer Nicholas Lehman, to whom Razzano will report. “We’re excited to bring him on at this time of growth and opportunity for the platform.”
