The Mark & Brian Radio Show is returning for a special one-off broadcast to celebrate KLOS’s (Los Angeles) 50th anniversary reunion show on April 25, 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Joining the duo will be family members, Todd Donoho, the Commissioner of Sports, and Chuck Moshontz, Spectrum News 1.
KLOS PD and Cumulus Media Rock Format Captain Keith Cunningham said: “We’re stoked that Mark & Brian have agreed to get the band back together to celebrate the 50th anniversary of KLOS. If not for the Mark & Brian Show, KLOS may not have reached the 50-year milestone. The show is an enormous part of the brand’s history and the 25th will be an epic day for Southern California radio listeners.”
Mark & Brian will also make a guest appearance on KLOS’s morning show, as well as do interviews with 790 KABC’s John Phillips & Jillian Barberie at 9:45 a.m., and Dr. Drew & Leeann Tweeden at 2:30 p.m.
What does “Spectrum News 1” have to do with this?
For 4 hours on April 25, KLOS will be relevant again. And closed corporate thinking would never allow this, but Cumulus should literally give Mark and Brian an ownership interest in KLOS, if that would persuade them to return to the station.
