Grammy winner Joe Diffie isn’t giving up his music career, and he’ll still play his full slate of gigs, but Griffin Communications has pulled off a coup signing Diffie as a new voice for Big Country 99.5 in Tulsa, OK. He’ll take over the midday slot but do his show remotely. Diffie is a Tulsa native.

Brian Jennings, Program Director at Big Country, said, “Joe’s music is a reflection of the dominance of Oklahoma artists that have become part of the country music soundtrack across the nation. And Big Country is the only station in Tulsa that is positioned to properly celebrate that legacy. Think about the influence that Oklahoma music has on the nation: Joe Diffie, Reba, Garth, Vince Gill, Toby Keith, Ronnie Dunn, Blake Shelton, Carrie Underwood…shall I go on? Having Joe on as part of the team brings Tulsa pride to his national status. I am so proud.”

Diffie will be on-air 10 a.m.-3 p.m., Monday through Friday, on Big Country 99.5, starting Monday, April 1.
