Chicago native Justin Kaufmann (pictured) will host the return of Extension 720, airing on WGN on select weekday evenings beginning Friday, March 15. The show will be produced by Pete Zimmerman. Additionally, Kaufmann and Zimmerman will produce Lower Wacker Live, a daily podcast delivering a comedic news brief that will be available at wgnradio.com and through iTunes subscription.

Previously Kaufmann and Zimmerman have been heard on The Steve Cochran Show and The Download with Justin Kaufmann.

Extension 720 originally ran from 1968 through 2012, hosted for 39 of those years by Milt Rosenberg.

Of the show, Station Manager and Vice President of Content Todd Manley said, “You’ll hear candid conversations with Chicago newsmakers, tastemakers, and activists both known and unknown.”

“I’m humbled and honored to continue the legacy of one of the best radio programs in Chicago history,” Kaufmann said. “I can’t wait to get started.”
