Radio never really gets a mention during Nielsen earnings calls and maybe that’s a good thing. As the company continues to look for a buyer, the ratings firm reported another bad revenue quarter with Q4 2018 revenue down nearly 6% to $1.66 billion.
The Watch business, Nielsen’s TV measurement segment, was down 3.5% to $881 million. The Buy unit, which is marketing data, was off 8.4% to $777 million.
The company also plans to rebrand its two big segments.
The Buy segment will be called Nielsen Global Media which will include measurement and the Watch segment will be called Nielsen Global Connect
