ESPN anchor Adnan Virk, who was also a regular on ESPN Radio, is said to be pursuing legal action against the network after he was abruptly fired last Friday and escorted out of the building. ESPN is accusing Virk of leaking confidential company information to Awful Announcing.
The New York Post is reporting that the leaking was done multiple times and Virk was not forthcoming after he was given multiple chances to come clean. The Post reports that ESPN requires everyone in the company to take compliance training that includes not leaking confidential information.
Virk’s side contends he received no warning and he was thinking he might receive a two-week suspension at most.
Is this guy truly clueless? At most he thought he would receive a two week suspension?
In essence admitting he did the crime.
ESPN did the right thing.
