Pandora CEO Roger Lynch and several other top Pandora executives will be gone when the buyout by SiriusXM closes, SiriusXM CEO Jim Meyer will lead the combined company, and Pandora’s general counsel, chief financial officer, and chief human resources officer will also exit. On Tuesday Pandora shareholders approved the deal, which is expected to close soon.

It’s ironic. The Los Angeles Pandora office was led by a little journeyman, former LA Radio top executive, and he brought in a lot of radio sales people who could no longer make it in radio, and fled to Pandora. Most of them are long gone now from Pandora, doing who knows what. Yet, radio and LA Radio continues to flourish and prosper, while Pandora continues to struggle and to clean house. People continue to mistakenly write-off radio, which still reaches 93% of America every week! Pandora? Not even a factor right now.
