Westwood One has announced that Mainstream Country format jock Scott Simon (real name Scott Smith) passed away suddenly early Friday morning, January 25. Scott had worked at the company’s 24/7 Formats division since October 2017.
“All of us at Westwood One are very saddened about the news and our hearts are with his family,” said George King, VP Programming, Country. “Scott was an incredible jock and just a great person. He will be missed.”
