On Thursday, January 24, Sportsradio 1310 and 96 7 FM The Ticket, will mark its 25th anniversary on the air in Dallas-Fort Worth. The Ticket will celebrate the milestone by broadcasting live from Texas Motor Speedway Ticketstock 25 on Friday, January 25 and Saturday, January 26, at the Plano Events Center in Plano, TX. The free event is open to the public and will feature live roundtable discussions with hosts from The Ticket, with special guest appearances from 6:30 p.m.-8:00 p.m., Friday, by sports legends Troy Aikman and Jay Novacek. Gates to Texas Motor Speedway Ticketstock 25 open at 12:00 Noon on both Friday and Saturday.
The Ticket signed on to Dallas-Fort Worth airwaves on January 24, 1994, as DFW’s original All Sports radio station. In the 25 years since, The station has won three National Association of Broadcasters Marconi Awards as America’s Best Sports Station.

It is a first in DFW radio to have a station in the same format with the same key on-air talent in all timeslots for 25 consecutive years.”

He said: “When the Ticket went on the air, the so-called ‘experts’ said we wouldn’t last six months.
