Ed Wallace from KLIF’s Saturday morning show Wheels with Ed Wallace teamed up with Kwik Kar Industries for the 30th Annual KLIF Kids Toy Drive. Listeners and auto dealerships contributed over $46,000 for kids at two different schools in Dallas and Fort Worth. The Toy Drive & Donation event was held December 1 at Kwik Kar in Frisco, TX. During the 5-hour event, bikes, toys, and monetary donations were collected. The donations from this event will benefit Charles Nash Elementary in Fort Worth and the MLK Learning Center in Dallas.
In total, this year’s event raised $46,628.84. The monetary donations received will be used to purchase toys for 800 children at the benefiting schools and will be presented to them before they leave for the holiday break. Remaining funds will be presented by check to both schools.
For the past 30 Holiday Seasons KLIF has worked with Ed Wallace on raising money to buy toys for underprivileged children in the D-FW Area.
