WBWL-FM 101.7/95.3 The Bull’s Country Cares For St. Jude Kids Radiothon raised $458,236. The two day event, December 7-8, was live on both stations from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Listeners were encouraged to become a St. Jude Partner In Hope, a program whereby donors send $20 each month directly to St. Jude for patient care. The radiothon featured interviews with St. Jude patients, a call-in from recording artist Russell Dickerson, and an in-studio performance from Tyler Rich.
Over the past three years, the station has raised over $1 million to benefit St. Jude. “I’m so proud of our team,” said Ginny Brophey, PD. “To raise a million dollars for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is an incredible accomplishment for our staff, and our listeners who responded with generosity.”
