Claire Beverly’s wife Shar used a bottle of Jameson Whiskey in place of Denatured Alcohol and created a painting that Tim Leary named “Starry Starry Jameson” (see photo). Listeners of The New 98.9 The Bull (KNUC/Seattle) were so excited to purchase the painting, it lead to Tim, Red and Claire in the Morning raising over $2,000 for the Auburn Valley Humane Society in Auburn, WA. Collaborating with the Society, the morning trio held a fundraiser on-air for the painting from 5 a.m. to 9 a.m. on Friday, October 19, and rang up the cash register big-time.
Proceeds raised will help the Auburn Valley Humane Society replenish their food pantry for animals, as well as help cover costs for spay/neuter and other medical expenses for the animals they take in.
