WICC600/Bridgeport has partnered with IMG Sports to be Southern Connecticut’s home for the University of Connecticut’s Men’s and Women’s Basketball teams. Starting November 8, all UCONN Men’s and Women’s Basketball games can be heard on WICC600-AM and 107.9 HD2. WICC600 will also carry the pre- and post-game shows, as well as all of the UCONN coaches’ shows, featuring Men’s Coach Dan Hurley and Women’s Coach Geno Auriemma.
Steve Chessare, General Manager of Cumulus Bridgeport explained WICC600’s enthusiasm about the new partnership. “We are extremely excited to partner once again with The University of Connecticut Men’s and Women’s Basketball programs and proud to be the radio home of Husky sports in Southern Connecticut. For the past three decades, UCONN basketball has been the most successful NCAA college hoops programs in the Northeast and we look forward to the 2018-2019 season as coaches Auriemma and Hurley continue that legendary run!”
