After The Hurricane, Radio Steps Up

iHeartMedia Charlotte and all of its stations will partner with Operation Northstate to host a donation drive for the victims of Hurricane Florence in Jacksonville and Fayetteville, NC. The collection drive will run Monday, September 17 through end of day Monday, September 24. Items will be collected daily 10 a.m.–6 p.m. 

Financial donations, bottled water, canned goods, pet foods, blankets, clothing, diapers, towels, cleaning supplies, paper products, and toiletries are much needed items. Only new items will be accepted. The need continues past the first few days of the storm’s aftermath. All items collected will be taken to the National Guard who will distribute the items to people they have located and are in need of assistance.

Donations can be made at Bass Pro Shops, 8181 Concord Mills Boulevard, Concord, NC 28027 — Concord Mills Mall (Guest Services)

“It is incredibly sad to see the destruction brought by Hurricane Florence to the coastal area,” said Meg Stevens, Regional Vice President of Programming for iHeartMedia’s Virginia-Carolina Region. “Incredibly proud of how North Carolinians have come together as one to help those in need. iHeartMedia Charlotte is happy to be able to help bring relief to those in need”.
