He had previously been banned from several social media sites for one week because of his behavior. Now Twitter has permanently banned the controversial host. Thursday Twitter announced both Alex Jones and his Infowars accounts are gone for good. The reason: abusive behavior. Jones will not be able to create new Twitter accounts or take over any existing accounts.
The ban follows Jones heckling CNN journalist Oliver Darcy on Capitol Hill this week. Jones posted a video that violates the company’s policy against “abusive behavior.”
Jones heckled Darcy in hallway where reporters were waiting to enter the House committee room. Jones said, Darcy was “smiling like a possum that crawled out of the rear end of a dead cow. That’s what you look like. You look like a possum that got caught doing some really nasty stuff — in my view. You’re a public figure too.”
