Beginning Monday, August 27, Alpha Media Portland’s WE 96.3 (KWEE) will air the Dana Cortez Show from 6 until 10 a.m. Cortez will lead the new morning program making her one of radio’s first Latinas to host a morning drive program. She’ll be alongside her husband DJ Automatic and comedian Anthony Almanzar. The Dana Cortez Show was formally the #1-rated morning show in San Antonio. The new partnership is between WE 96.3 and ABC Radio.
“I am beyond excited. It’s like you open your eyes and it’s like ‘Oh my God, my dreams are still happening,’” Cortez said regarding the show’s expansion into Portland. “It’s something I’ve thought about for many years and it’s finally happening.”
