Former San Francisco 49ers defensive end and Super Bowl champion Dennis Brown is the new co-host of KNBR 680/1050’s pregame and postgame coverage for the 2018 NFL season. The 2018 season marks the 14th year of 49ers football on KNBR. Brown was drafted by the San Francisco 49ers as the 47th overall pick in the 1990 NFL Draft and earned the team’s Gold-Rush Rookie of the Year. Brown went on to play all seven years of his NFL career in San Francisco and was in their Super Bowl-winning team in 1995. He served as 49ers television analyst from 2012-2017.

Jeremiah Crowe, Program Director, KNBR 680/1050, said, “We are thrilled to welcome NFL broadcasting veteran Dennis Brown into the KNBR family. Dennis brings a Super Bowl champion’s perspective to both our 49ers pre- and post-game coverage, and he will also maintain a regular analyst role throughout the week during our primetime talk programming. The addition of Dennis further strengthens KNBR’s NFL roster as the strongest in all of sports radio.”

Brown said, “As a Bay Area native, I’m very excited to be joining KNBR’s 49ers game day broadcast team. I look fondly on my career with the Niners, have listened to KNBR for decades, and jumped at the opportunity to join their pre-game and post-game coverage. I’m looking forward to being a part of this 2018 season from behind the KNBR 680 microphones on The Sports Leader.”
