JD Freeman, John Jay & Rich Selected For Arizona Hall

The Arizona Broadcasters Association has announced its 2018 inductees for the Arizona Broadcasters Hall of Fame. The radio inductees, chosen based on their outstanding contributions to broadcast journalism, are JD Freeman, and John Jay and Rich.

This year’s inductees will be honored at ABA’s Hall of Fame luncheon on October 11th from noon to 1:30 p.m. at Talking Stick Resort in Scottsdale. Past inductee Pat McMahon will be the Master of Ceremonies.

The 2018 Hall of Fame radio inductees:

• JD Freeman – his broadcast career of 41 years started at KPGE in Page, Arizona but while in Dallas, he was instrumental in creating the Amber Alert System that is now used nationwide.

• John Jay and Rich – The duo has entertained Arizonans on their morning drive since 2001 and have made their mark on the community with numerous charity projects.
