KHTS Santa Clarita host Barry McKeever was in Nashville on the Fourth of July watching fireworks, when debris started raining from the sky. According to the station website, McKeever said he felt a piece strike him in the shoulder and after one of his children saw the wound he realized it wasn’t from the fireworks, it was a bullet. Someone shot a gun into the air during the celebration and it landed in McKeever’s shoulder.

Doctors told him removing the bullet from his shoulder could do more damage so he decided to leave it in. McKeever said they don’t know who shot the gun and he managed to watch the last 15 minutes of the fireworks on his back in his wife’s lap. “It was a great fireworks demonstration.”
