The Highway Radio Network & Heftel Broadcast Company are launching a new remote satellite broadcast studio at Pawn Plaza in Las Vegas owned by Gold & Silver Pawn Shop owner Rick Harrison (pictured), star of History’s “Pawn Stars.” Highway Radio Network COO Sean O’Neill said, “The Pawn Plaza attracts thousands of customers thanks to the huge success of Pawn Stars. To be able to launch a broadcast studio at a must-see Las Vegas destination for tourists is a perfect scenario for us.”
The Highway Radio Network was recently acquired by Heftel Broadcast Company led by Richard Heftel and his partners Larry Miller (who also owns Sit ‘n Sleep Mattress chain) and veteran media executive Sean O’Neill. Heftel has also had success as a Las Vegas business operator with entertainment outlets in Las Vegas such as the Showroom at the Venetian and the C2K Niteclub.
Setting their sights on establishing themselves as ‘the Voice of Las Vegas,’ Highway Radio, with eight signals covering a larger portion of the Southwest US, will celebrate 37 years of serving visitors to Las Vegas with the grand opening of this new studio. As the only radio network focusing on all things Las Vegas, Highway Radio offers listeners a choice between The VIBE (Hot-AC), The Drive (Adult Rock) and The Country Drive. In addition to a diverse selection of music, the network also carries the Vegas Golden Knights and Raiders and Rams NFL games.
