Entercom Producer Keeps His Word And Quits

As we’ve learned recently, social media can turn out to be an ugly form of communication when people hit “send” before common sense kicks in. Roseanne Barr and Kevin Klein are two that come to mind quickly. At WGR a seemingly harmless tweet about the NFL draft resulted in another job loss.

WGR Buffalo producer Ryan Gates (pictured) tweeted out in March that he’d leave the station if the Buffalo Bills drafted quarterback Josh Allen with Baker Mayfield or Josh Rosen still available. Buffalo traded up to the number seven pick and took Allen. Rosen was still available and was drafted 10th by the Cardinals. On Monday, he tweeted that he’s following through with the promise and “joining the corporate world.”

Gates is a man of his word.

Back in April, Cleveland radio host Aaron Goldhammer said he’d eat poop if the Browns drafted Baker Mayfield. Guess who the Browns drafted and guess what Goldhammer still has not eaten.

  1. If Aaron Goldhammer in Cleveland ever does make good on his promise, I hope he at least smiles when he does it. That way, we get a $#!+-eating grin!
