WKKO-FM/K100 Toledo PD and morning show host Gary Shores will pass the programming duties over to Ohio native Jerry Mac. Mac joins K100 from Community Broadcasters in Elmira, where he was Operations Manager.
Shores, who has programmed K100 for the past 33 years and has been with the station for a total of 43 years, will continue to host mornings on K100. Mac will assume the Program Director position for K100 on June 11. Mac, an 18-year radio vet has also worked in Hendersonville, NC, St. Cloud, MN, Youngstown, OH, Canton, OH, Pittsburgh, PA, and  Wilmington, NC.
Andy Stuart, Regional Vice President and Market Manager, Cumulus Media-Toledo and Monroe, MI, said, “We celebrate and honor Gary Shore’s unprecedented and highly successful run as K100 Program Director. Gary has been an essential part of the station’s continued growth and popularity, and we are deeply grateful for his dedication and contributions over the past 43 years and counting. We are thrilled Gary will stay on as host of K100 mornings.”

Shores said, “After 43 years in this building, 33 as PD, it’s bittersweet for me to pass the keys to a new PD, but I feel it’s time. Jerry will do a great job. He’s coming to one of the most successful Country stations in the Midwest, at #1 for over 20 years. Thanks to the awesome listeners and air-staff for that. Not only is Jerry joining a great air-staff, but a great management team, and great corporate support, too. Being from Ohio, I’m sure Jerry will feel right at home here at K100. Welcome!”

Mac added, “I am so honored to join the Cumulus-Toledo team and to help lead K100 to continued success. Gary has done such an amazing job for so many years, and I am excited that he will still be a part of the team. I know I can learn a lot from him. I’m thrilled that Andy and Bill have entrusted me with this amazing opportunity. I also thank Charlie Cook, Doug Hamand, Mike McVay, and Cumulus-Youngstown VP/Market Manager Bill Kelly for their assistance and support. I look forward to coming back to Ohio and working with the talented Cumulus-Toledo team for years to come. As Keith Urban says, “I’m Coming Home.”
