Chris Winkle, President, CEO, and controlling partner of WCYN Radio in Cynthiana has been named the new President and CEO of the Kentucky Broadcasters Association. Winkle began his radio career at WCYN as the age of 19 as the business and traffic manager.

Marti Hazel, the current chair of the KBA’s board of directors, said, “Although he is our ‘new’ president and CEO, Chris is anything but new to KBA. He has served as interim KBA president not once, but twice, and has served on its board as both a director and as its chairman.”

Winkle said his goal as President/CEO of the KBA will be to “lead and unify the Kentucky Broadcasters Association with a vision to celebrate the past, embrace the future, and engage the next generation of broadcasters.”

Winkle has been serving as interim President/CEO of KBA since the retirement of Henry Lackey in March of this year. He will assume his official role immediately
