Employees at Beasley Media Group stations HOT 96.9, 105.7 WROR, ALT 92.9, Country 102.5, and 98.5 The Sports Hub donated their time and support to Project Bread’s year-round effort to prevent and end hunger in Massachusetts at the 50th Walk for Hunger & 5K Run. The event took place on May 6 on the Boston Common.
For 50 years, Project Bread’s Walk for Hunger has been a call to action for residents of Massachusetts, and in that time has provided over one billion meals to hungry people in the state. Hunger affects the lives of over 726,000 Massachusetts residents. It threatens the health and futures of 1 In 7 children in the state. The Walk funds hundreds of local programs across the state that provide a wide range of solutions.
