Mason City Stations Bag 10 Awards

KGLO and KRIB in Mason City, IA, won a total of 10 awards in the Small Market Division of the 2017 Iowa Broadcast News Association contest. The awards were handed out at the group’s annual convention in Cedar Rapids on Saturday, April 21. KGLO News Director Bob Fisher (pictured) picked up eight awards, including five 1st Place awards. Fisher has received a total of 84 awards in the last 14 years. KGLO and/or KRIB in the last 14 years have received a total of 99 awards.

Alpha Media Mason City Market Manager Dalena Barz said, “Congratulations to our news, ag, and sports team. It’s great to see their dedication and passion recognized by the IBNA. North-central Iowa counts on our team for the best in local coverage. We are proud of their achievements.”
