Iowa Stations Could Go Dark

3

According to Tri- States Public Radio, Riverfront Broadcasting’s two southeast Iowa stations KOKX-AM and WCEZ-FM could go off the air soon. Carolyn Becker purchased the stations in 2016. She says the stations will go dark unless new owners are found. All the employees have already been laid off and there’s recorded music playing. At least one employee of the radio station is working with the community to try to keep the stations going.

  1. Thanks. It was kind of like a jock talking for their 18 seconds and then saying “get more details on our web page or blog. Thought maybe the print media was going the same route, except this was already a web page😀

  2. So where see these stations? Southeast Iowa isn’t as big as say Southeast Montana, but it’s big enough to maybe mention the cities they are located in.
