The NAB says four members of the House and one Senator have added their support for the Local Radio Freedom Act, which is a resolution opposing “any new performance fee, tax, royalty, or other charge” on radio stations. The Act now has 225 co-sponsors in the House and 27 in the Senate. Here are the new names from DC that are showing their love for radio.
Rep. Ron Estes (KS-4), Jody Hice (GA-10), Mike Johnson (LA-4), and Bobby Rush (IL-1). Adding his support for the companion resolution in the Senate is Sen. Joe Donnelly (D-IN).
