According to WABC-TV, seven people have been charged in the 2012 murder of former radio host April Kauffman. Authorities say the murder was arranged by her late husband, Dr. James Kauffman, to prevent her from exposing a drug ring he was running with the Pagans Motorcycle Gang. Kauffman (pictured here) once worked for WOND-AM, a Talk station in South Jersey, now owned by Longport media.

Investigators say the trouble began in 2011, when April Kauffman threatened a divorce and threatened to expose the drug operation. Kauffman was found dead in her Linwood, New Jersey home.

Here are the seven people indicted by a grand jury:
–61-year-old Ferdinand Augello of Petersburg N.J.
–61-year-old Paul Pagno of Egg Harbor Township, N.J.
–52-year-old Joseph Mulholland of Villas, N.J.
–47-year-old Beverly Augello of Summerland, FL
–37-year-old Glenn Seeler of Sanford, N.C.
–35-year-old Tabitha Chapman of Absecon, N.J.
–36-year-old Cheryl Pizza of Murrells Inlet, S.C.

Authorities say Augello was the leader of the drug ring. Dr. James Kauffman, who was already in jail for the plot, was found dead in his jail cell in January. Authorities say he committed suicide.
