77 WABC Radio/New York City has added The Chris Plante Show to its weekday lineup, beginning Monday, April 2. The show is nationally syndicated by Westwood One, and will air on 77 WABC Monday through Friday, 10 a.m.-12 Noon. It replaces The Bernie and Sid Show, which moves to mornings. The Chris Plante Show is informed by Plante’s 17 years covering breaking news, the Pentagon, and national security issues from Washington, DC.
Plante said, “As any school child knows, as a broadcaster, if you could choose one radio station in one market in the English-speaking world, it would be WABC in New York. I’m honored to join the team.”
Plante received the Edward R. Murrow Award from the Radio and Television News Directors’ Association for his reporting from the Pentagon during the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001.
