Radio stations 98.5 WTFM, Classic Hits 102.7 (WVEK), 95.9 The Hog (WRZK), and ESPN Tri-Cities of Holston Valley Broadcasting raised $404,626 during their sixth annual Niswonger Children’s Hospital Radiothon in Johnson City, TN, on February 26 and 27. Over the two days, Steve Mann and Lynda Fontaine of the 98.5 WTFM morning show encouraged listeners to donate to the region’s only children’s hospital, which serves 29 counties in four states.

David Widener, president of Holston Valley Broadcasting, said, “Our radio stations are always looking for ways to give back to our community, so it is very fulfilling to see our listeners, corporate sponsors, and the many volunteers open their hearts and wallets during our radiothon with their donations benefiting the healing process of the sick children at our region’s only children’s hospital. Since its beginning, the radiothon has raised more than $1,400,000.”
