Albany Broadcasting (which is owned by Pamal) has launched ALT 104.9, “Albany’s NEW Alternative.” ALT104.9 will have a playlist featuring the latest alternative hits and longtime favorites. The station is celebrating its launch by playing 10,000 back-to-back songs 100% commercial-free. Listeners can connect with the station at alt1049albany.com and ALT104.9 on Facebook.

And Rewind 105 also just flipped to ALT – with 5000 in a row as opposed to 10,000. And just like that there were two new competing ALTs in Albany NY. It was busy over the St. Pat’s weekend.
