Portland station 92.3 KGON has signed the agreement with The Waterfront Blues Festival. Highlights of the partnership include the return of the festival to its original radio broadcast partner and the switch of KGON-HD2 station to Waterfront Blues Radio, streaming blues music all day. The station will be the exclusive radio partner of the largest citywide event in Portland, taking place July 4 through 7 at Tom McCall Waterfront Park. This year’s event will mark the 31st anniversary of the festival and will feature more than 120 performances on four stages. Since 1988, The Waterfront Blues Festival has raised more than $10 million and more than 1,000 tons of food to benefit the Oregon Food Bank.

“As the leaders in live, local audio content, we are excited to partner once again with The Waterfront Blues Festival and bring blues music fans one of the most anticipated events of the year,” says Bill Ashenden, Senior Vice President and Market Manager, Entercom Portland. “With such a wide range of performances, there is something for everyone to jam out to.”

Tickets for the 2018 Waterfront Blues Festival will go on sale to the general public on Thursday, March 15, 2018 at 10 a.m. PT. For more information regarding this year’s festival and to purchase tickets, visit www.waterfrontbluesfest.com.
