The University of Alabama, and its rights holder, Learfield, have announced a five-year agreement with SummitMedia to become the official radio home of Crimson Tide Sports Network in Birmingham. SummitMedia Birmingham President John Walker says the company is very excited to add Alabama sports. “We fully understand both the power and appeal of the University’s athletic programs. The partnership between SummitMedia, Alabama athletics and Learfield will provide our audience outstanding sports programming on a platform like never before.”

Beginning this fall, fans will hear Crimson Tide football games with expanded pregame and postgame programming, Hey Coach: The Nick Saban Show, and Crimson Tide Rewind live on 106.9 “The Eagle”; Crimson Tide men’s basketball and Hey Coach will air on “Play” 97.3 FM; and all UA women’s basketball, men’s varsity baseball games, and the Crimson Tide Today daily show will be heard on both 1320 AM WENN and WAGG 100.1 FM. All Crimson Tide Sports Network broadcasts will also be simulcast on 1320 AM WENN and 95.7 HD2, providing AM, FM, and HD radio coverage for the first time in Birmingham for all sports.
