Jeff Kurkjian has been named the new weekday morning host (6-10 a.m.) on 102.7 The Coyote in Las Vegas. He will be joined by Aimee Montgomery, who will shift from her current role as midday personality on Lite 101.5FM/Las Vegas. Jeff and Aimee will begin on Monday, March 12, 2018. Kurkjian most recently served as a morning on-air personality at Q104/WQAL-FM in Cleveland.

  1. Let me get this right… the “barmaid” that was plucked from obscurity back in 2015, with absolutely no broadcasting experience, in order to co-host mornings at KVGS (to the tune of 50k a year) which resulted in that morning “experiment” failing epicly, is now going to be paired with a young CHR jock from Cleveland, with whom she has no proven chemistry, to helm KCYE, a country music station that generally flounders against country powerhouse KWNR in Las Vegas. My question, who in the blue hell is making these boneheaded programming decisions at Beasley Broadcasting!?! …asking for a friend.

    • Not to knock Beasley, but one explanation for your question is that Beasley by no means is a top-level pure radio corporation like Entercomm or iHeart, both of which make purely impartial decisions. Beasley on the other hand is a “super-sized” family business. The top level managers are all named Beasley, and of course none of them will ever be fired or really held accountable, as top managers are in non-family business corporations.
