Len Weiner is the new Program Director for Sports Radio WQAM-AM in Miami. Weiner will continue to program Entercom’s Sports Talk 790 AM The Ticket, which is also in Miami. Weiner has spent most of his career in sports radio. For 12 years he was the PD for the ESPN Radio Network and has programmed stations in Chicago, Boston, and Los Angeles. He replaces Ryan Maguire who joined Bonneville’s News/Talker KIRO Radio in Seattle last week.
“Len’s leadership ability and knowledge of sports radio make him the perfect candidate to take on our two major sport stations in Miami,” said Keriann Worley, Senior Vice President and Market Manager, Entercom South Florida. “Adding the 560 WQAM Program Director responsibilities to Len’s current role is a natural fit. I’m confident both stations will continue as the top choice for Miami’s sports fans with Len on board.”
